A Healthy Colon

Our colons were designed to act as smoothly-flowing sewer systems to rid our body of waste products shortly after the waste has been separated from usable nutrients But instead, most colons have become stagnant cesspools, collecting layers and pockets of toxic, putrid wastes and mucus that poisons the blood stream and every cell and organ in the body. So what steps can be taken to improve and/or maintain a healthy colon?

Fiber is the part of food that is not digested by the human body. The normal functioning of the intestinal tract depends upon the presence of adequate fiber. A low-fiber diet has been associated with heart disease, cancer of the colon and rectum, diverticulosis, varicose veins, phlebitis, and obesity. Soluble fiber is believed to help lower serum cholesterol levels, thereby decreasing the risk for heart disease. Foods containing soluble fiber include apples, raw carrots, beans, oat bran, melons, potatoes and barley. While researchers recommend a minimum of 25 to 40 grams of fiber in the daily diet, most Americans only consume 15 to 20 grams. Studies show that eating a high fiber diet can help reduce the risk of developing digestive disorders, colon cancer, constipation, and other health problems.

Fiber works best when it comes from a variety of natural foods.  Insufficient liquid on high-fiber diet may lead to constipation. Increase your fiber intake gradually over several days or weeks. Too much too quickly can cause stomach cramps, diarrhea, bloating, and gas.

In addition to including natural high fiber foods in your diet, it is a good idea to consider a fiber supplement to help cleanse the colon of putrefied matter. Ridding the colon of old hardened mucus and toxic waste materials is a process that takes time. Herbal Fibercleanse can help in this process. Herbal Fibercleanse contains herbs in a psyllium/flax seed base that creates bulk to help pull putrefactive toxins from the intestinal wall. Along with eating a diet rich in raw fruits and vegetables, this product can be an aid in improving colon health.

If you are just beginning to make dietary improvements, taking Herbal Fibercleanse every day for two or three months or longer can be helpful. After this initial period you can take Herbal Fibercleanse periodically to help maintain a healthy colon environment. This (along with eating a good diet) will help to keep the colon clean and functioning at its best. *If you would be interested in receiving information about a "deep cleanse" 7 day colon cleansing program, call and request our informational sheet on this subject.
